This is a journey about art, connection, and belonging. As a proud member of the Ottawa-Gatineau Printmakers Connective (OGPC), Ottawa Mixed Media Artists (OMMA), Arteast Ottawa, and Arts Ottawa, I am honored to engage in a deeper dialogue with this city through my work.
The "I Love Ottawa" series was specifically conceived and created for exhibitions and events in Ottawa during 2025-2026. This is more than just a collection of artworks; it is my heartfelt tribute to this city and its surrounding regions. Each piece, whether a print, mixed media work, acrylic painting, or collage, attempts to capture the unique spirit of Ottawa: it is both the political heart of Canada, with its magnificent architecture and strict order, and a city embraced by abundant natural landscapes that reveal a simple and serene beauty.
I have deeply explored the mountains and rivers around Ottawa, feeling the colors and light that change with the seasons, and I have translated that understanding into my artistic language. Through different mediums, I seek to represent the perfect balance that this city strikes between reason and emotion, and between order and nature.
This series is a testament to my artistic journey and the emotional connection I am building with this land, its art community, and the people who live here. I hope that every viewer can find a sense of resonance in these works and feel the unique warmth and poetry that this city offers.
